"I’ve been ordering Darwin’s for a few..."
I’ve been ordering Darwin’s for a few months now, it just gives off a fresh, real-food vibe compared to a lot of other dog food I’ve tried. It doesn’t look dry or strange, and the ingredients seem simple. I’m assuming my dog loves it based on how fast he runs over at mealtime and actually finishes the whole bowl every single time.

"I like where they get their meat"
I really like that the meat sourcing feels honest. It gives me a little more confidence in what I’m feeding my dog. he’s been doing great on it.

"Freshness Felt Inconsistent"
I really wanted to like Darwin’s, but the freshness was kind of hit or miss for us. Some of the packs seemed totally fine, but one had a weird smell after thawing, and my dog wasn’t very interested in it, which made me hesitate.

I reached out to customer service, and while they did respond, the tone made me feel a little talked down to instead of reassured. For what it costs, I expected more consistency and a better experience overall. It wasn’t terrible, but it just didn’t feel right for us.

"My picky dog actually eats it"
I was kind of rushing around when I first gave my dog Darwin’s, so I figured he’d do his usual sniff-and-walk-away routine. He’s super picky, but he actually started eating right away and licked the bowl clean. I didn’t expect that. No begging, no tricks, no wasting time trying to convince him. For us, that alone makes it worth it

"Support got back to me quick"
I reached out to Darwin’s Pet about a issue I was having and the support person was super nice. They answered my questions without making it all confusing, and got everything sorted fast. It actually felt like they read what I wrote instead of just sending some copy paste reply. Really good customer service, 5 stars.

"Immediately regretted giving this to my dog"
I gave this to my dog and pretty much right away I was like, oh no. His stomach did not handle it well, and he still had diarrhea after eating it. Definitely not something I’d try again.

I switched my senior lab over to Darwin’s, and after a few weeks his itchy skin really started calming down. His poops have been a lot better too, which is such a relief! i’m really glad I gave it a try :)

The food itself seems solid, and my dog ate it without any fuss, so I don’t really have complaints about the quality. I’m just particular about keeping his meals consistent, and the portion sizing threw me off a bit.

Some of the packs felt like too much for one meal but not quite enough for two, so I kept having to eyeball it more than I’d like. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but I do wish it were easier to measure out confidently.

The food arrived still cold and packed with dry ice, so I felt comfortable feeding it to my dog. The labels were easy to read too, which I appreciated. One of the packs was a little soft around the edge, but it did not feel warm or unsafe. Overall, it was a good experience.

I followed the transition guide carefully because I was feeling hopeful it would make the switch easier, but my dog still ended up having stomach issues for several days. It was frustrating to deal with, and unfortunately it just didn’t work out for us.

"Delivery has been hard to count on"
My order was late again, and the tracking barely changed the whole time. Reading between the lines, it kind of feels like the shipping side just isn’t very reliable right now. That’s stressful when it’s my pet’s food and I’m counting on it to arrive when it’s supposed to. I ended up having to grab backup food somewhere else, which was frustrating. Not really happy with the experience.

"Still like them, but delivery was slow"
I’ve ordered from them a bunch of times and usually really like the food, so I was kind of torn on this one. The order showed up fine and everything tasted good, but the delivery definitely took longer than I expected. Not a dealbreaker, just a little annoying since I normally count on them being more reliable...

"Got too uneasy after the recall concerns"
I really wanted Darwin’s to work out, my dog ate it with no problem. But after I started seeing recall concerns online, I got nervous about keeping more of it in our freezer.
Customer service was okay, not awful or anything, but I did not come away feeling very reassured. With raw food, I need to feel more confident than this, so I stopped ordering for now.

"Bad first impression and way too pricey"
It didn’t make a great first impression. I really wanted to like it, but right away I felt like the price was too high for how little you actually get. For us, it just didn’t feel worth the money.

"Really appreciate how clear the recipes is"
I likes that Darwin’s doesn’t make me dig around or guess what’s actually in the food. The recipe info is easy to find, and they just list the ingredients straight out, which I really appreciate.

My dog have a sensitive stomach, so being able to check the meat, organs, veggies, and everything else matters a lot to me. It makes me feel way better before I feed it to him.
A lot of pet food sites feels kind of vague, but this one seem more honest and simple. Nothing fancy, just clear info that actually helps
